Mike Peterson – Project Manager
Mike Peterson – Junior Mechanical Engineer, Project Manager of the SuperMileage Vehicle Team, Engine Group Leader. Worked last year on the implementation of Electronic Fuel Injection and design of the drivetrain for the SuperMileage Vehicle Team. This year working on implementing an overhead valve head configuration and variable timing ignition system to this years vehicle. |

Nerissa Hanson – Media Manager
Hello! My name is Nerissa Hanson. I am a junior Mechanical Engineering student and returning member of the MSOE SMV Team. This year I am part of the engine team. I am specifically working on developing an ECU controllable variable ignition timing system, and calculating our engine’s power outputs based on various displacements. I also serve as the SMV Team’s Media Manager. |

My name is Mike Ajax, and I’m a Junior Electrical Engineering student at MSOE. I am the EE Team Leader and Sponsorship Manager on the MSOE SuperMileage Team, and am working on building an embedded computer system to monitor fuel consumption on the vehicle. |

Troy Henke – Treasurer
My name is Troy Henke and I am a Junior Mechanical Engineer. I am the driver of MSOE’s SuperMileage vehicle as well as the team’s treasurer. In addition, I am also part of the chassis team who is currently designing a lighter, more durable frame for the vehicle. |

Adam Lange
I’m Adam Lange, a mechanical engineering junior. I am a member of the engine team. I am working on mechanical components, data acquisition, and controls for our dyno system. I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to compete in SuperMileage and I’d like to send out a big thanks to our sponsors, our supporters around school, and the team members. My name is Caleb Nitz, I’m a Freshman Mechanical Engineering student and I’m working on the body team this year. We are completely redesigning the carbon fiber body to make it more aerodynamic while still fitting it around all of the components and driver of the vehicle. |

My name is Calvin Meulemans, and I’m a Junior Architectural Engineering student at MSOE. I am on the chassis team we are working on a frame rail system to be used on the vehicle using composites. |

Charlie Scanlon
My name is Charlie Scanlon, I am a Mechanical Engineering student and am working with the Body team to develop a new, more streamlined body for our vehicle. I work with team members to propose several design alternatives, and help perfect the aerodynamic, structural, light-weight, and stylistic aspects of the design selected for competition. I also assist with the labor-intensive forming and production process of the body shell. |

I’m Chris Patzke and it’s my junior year at MSOE where I’m studying to become a Mechanical Engineer. I am a part of the Powertrain team and drivetrain subteam of MSOE’s SuperMileage Team, where one of my roles is to research and design an adapter for a sprocket to connect to the rear wheel. |

I’m Eli Leggett from Oregon, WI and I’m a Junior Mechanical Engineering student at MSOE. I am a member of the PowerTrain group for the MSOE SuperMileage Team and am working specifically on the drivetrain components to transfer power from the engine to the rear wheel of the vehicle. |

John Pondo
Hey, my name is John Pondo and I am a Sophomore Mechanical Engineering student here at MSOE. I am part of the chassis team on the MSOE SuperMileage Team. Carbon Fiber is a very unique material that has a high strength-to-weight ratio making it an ideal material to construct major components of the vehicle out of. I can’t wait to get my hands on some and start building. |

Kris Kata
My name is Kris Kata and I am a junior Software Engineering student here at MSOE. I am on the electrical team and we are working on programming a microchip processor to dynamically read the amount of fuel injected versus the distance driven to find the vehicle’s mileage. |

Marshall Schaeffer
I am Marshall Schaeffer, a junior in the ME program and a member of the SMV steering team. My focus on the steering team is to design parts that are optimized for weight and strength while still being relatively easy to manufacture. I am also the head machinist for the steering team. |

My name is Matt Wirtz. I am a Junior Mechanical Engineering student at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). I have been with MSOE SuperMileage since it’s beginnings in 2008-2009. I am the Drive-train leader on the team and I am working on the drive gearing system on the vehicle, the clutch, and the hub of the rear wheel. |

My name is Meghan Krause, and I am a freshman mechanical engineering student at MSOE. I am a member of the Powertrain team, specifically the engine division, and I am currently involved in dynamometer and testing bed preparations so that we will be able to obtain accurate results that involve varying throttle positions and various load amounts to better understand how to get improved fuel mileage. |

Hi! My name is Paul Gessler, and I’m a junior in the Mechanical Engineering program at MSOE. I am the leader of the Steering Team, which involves coordinating the design of the steering linkage, braking systems, vehicle handling, driver controls, and wheels/tires. This year, the main component which I designed is the steering bracket, which provides a lightweight and compact structure to support the car and defines the handling characteristics of the SuperMileage Vehicle. |
